One of the creations within the Knights of the Dinner Table comic/gaming magazine (published by Kenzer & Company) was the Ladies of Hack, an all-female sub-organization within the Hackmaster Association for the purposes of providing female gamers with support both in game and out. It was created by Sara and Shiela, female gaming characters in the comic. As a member of the HMA from early on I felt that there was a need for that kind of support. So I took action. At Origins in 2005 I talked with the Kenzer & Co. Crew and told them about my idea to create the Ladies of Hack for real. They were entirely behind the idea and gave me a great deal of support.

So I started that weekend to collect the names and information of a number of female gamers, mostly Hackmaster players. Within the first two days I had 20 names and a promise from Jolly and Dave to give us our own section on the boards. The members have wanted to expand the group from just Hackmaster players to all female gamers. To this end we are developing a blogsite and a webpage. The Ladies of Hack are not even a year old and already are turning heads!
